William J. Delaney

William J. Delaney, Esq. is the founding partner of Delaney Law, a boutique corporate and commercial litigation firm located in the heart of Chicago’s River North neighborhood. The attorneys of Delaney Law focus primarily on corporate strategy, international business, and litigation. In addition to managing the firm, Mr. Delaney advocates for a wide range of corporate and individual clients. He has been instrumental in developing and executing business strategies for corporations ranging from startups to multi-national, enterprise-level entities operating across jurisdictions and borders.

Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Delaney was involved in, as founder, co-founder or advisor to, a number of successful startup companies both domestically and abroad. He has lived and worked in Boca Raton, Los Angles, Dallas, Manhattan and Hong Kong with extended stays in Europe (Dublin, Paris, Munich and most recently Madrid). In 2013, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and serves as Chair of its International Business Council.

Along with being a member of the Illinois Bar, Mr. Delaney is admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Federal Trial Bar and has successfully prosecuted and defended cases throughout Illinois and across the country in diverse jurisdictions such as Washington, Wisconsin, and Florida. Mr. Delaney serves as a board member of Uni-B Solutions, Devtree, the Gun Violence Prevention PAC and the Voices and Faces Project.

Mr. Delaney received his J.D. from Chicago Kent College of Law and a certificate in International and Comparative Law focusing on business transactions. In addition to his legal studies, he participated in a 1997 Syracuse University MBA program at Hong Kong University.
