LANGHAM BRIEFS

SWEDEN ON TTIP

A LOOK AT SWEDISH BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC TIES WITH THE U.S.

Tuesday, February 24th | 2:15-3:45pm
Langham Hotel | Devonshire Ballroom | 330 N. Wabash Avenue

Join the Illinois Chamber’s International Business Council for a unique discussion with Swedish Ambassador Björn Lyrvall.
The program will examine the US-Sweden bilateral trade & investment relations within the context of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), the opportunities TTIP presents and how it can increase innovation, growth and jobs for both countries.

As one of the most dynamic and innovative economies in the World, Sweden is the 12th largest investor in the U.S. and one of the top investors on a per capita basis. Swedish-affiliated companies in Illinois have created nearly 15,000 jobs and Illinois exports to Sweden exceeded $213 million just last year. Under TTIP, this number could increase significantly furthering the already substantial impact of the US-Swedish bilateral trade relation in our local economy.
